Lynda Holmes

Lynda Holmes resides in Flowery Branch, GA with her husband, Dale Holmes.  They have two grown children and one grandson.  Lynda worked as a part-time instructor for North Georgia College & State University in the Department of Teacher Education and as an elementary school teacher.  She is a member of the NSDAR (National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonel William Candler chapter, Gainesville, GA). Lynda is also a member of the Northeast Georgia Writers and was selected as 2007 Writer of the Year.  She enjoys time with family, church, and doing volunteer work.

Lynda has also written numerous professional articles that have been published in journals including Language Arts, the Georgia Journal of Reading, and the Journal of Content Area Reading.  She earned her Ed.D in Reading Education from The University of Georgia, Athens, GA (1999).
